Greenlit De-Noise — setup & help

Download the .pkg from the De-Noise page, open it and follow the installer. It installs system-wide, into both /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 and /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components, so every user account on the Mac and every DAW that loads VST3 or AU sees it.

Then rescan plug-ins in your DAW so it picks up the new plugin:

Logic Pro: open the Plug-In Manager and rescan.

REAPER: Preferences → Plug-ins → Re-scan.

Audition: Effects → Audio Plug-In Manager → Scan. Audition caches its plug-in list, so a fresh install can still show an older entry in the list until you rescan.

Download the installer and run it. It installs to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3, the standard folder every VST3 host checks.

If the plugin installs but won't load, install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (x64) and try again.

1. Copy your key.It's in your purchase email, and it's permanently on your account page — open that and click Copy key.

2. Open the plugin on any track in your DAW.

3. Click Activatenext to the “Demo — paste licence key to unlock” banner at the bottom of the plugin.

4. Paste the key and click Activate.You'll see “Licensed to <your email>” where the banner was, and the demo interruptions stop for good.

You only do this once per computer.The key isn't tied to that machine — install on as many of your own computers as you use and paste the same key into each. Once activated, a Remove licence link appears in its place if you ever need it.

If Activate shows a message instead of unlocking, it's about the key text — re-copy it from your account page and paste it fresh.

Strength. How much of the reduction to apply. The default is deliberately gentle; push it for noisier rooms.

Listen. Hear only what is being removed, so you can check the voice is not in it.

Bypass. A true, sample-exact bypass for A/B.

The plugin reports about 1.6 seconds of latency to your DAW, which compensates automatically. Renders and bounces come out complete and perfectly aligned.

During playback, the first couple of seconds can sound dry while the engine fills its look-ahead, and the cursor can run a little ahead of the audio — both are the host showing the declared latency, not a fault.

44.1 kHz and 48 kHz only. Sessions at other rates are refused outright rather than processed misaligned, so set the session rate before you record.

Select the audio, then Effect → Greenlit De-Noise, set Strength, and Apply. Audacity renders your selection through the plugin, so the demo interruptions land in that render until you've pasted a key.

Plugin not listed: rescan plug-ins in your DAW, and confirm it landed in the install folder above.

No change in the sound:check Bypass isn't lit and Strength isn't at zero, then use Listen to hear what's being removed.

The voice sounds thin: lower Strength — the default is the safe setting.
