Greenlit Studio · Desktop app for Mac + Windows

Master your audio without it ever leaving your machine.

Greenlit Studio runs Greenlit's full cleanup + mastering engine locally on your Mac or PC. Built for narrators under NDA and studios processing at volume — now with a bundled VST3 plugin, so you can check and master right inside Reaper or Audacity.

Free to download — run unlimited local checks, no card required.

macOS (Apple Silicon) · Windows 10+ (64-bit)

Antivirus flagged the Windows installer? It's a false positive — here's the proof.

The verifiable claim

Kilobytes of metrics out. Zero audio.

Studio processes everything on your machine and sends only the measured results — loudness, peaks, noise floor — to your dashboard. Don't take our word for it: watch your network traffic while a job runs. We invite it.

The same engine as the cloud

The identical AI cleanup (DeepFilterNet3) and mastering chain that runs on our servers, running on your hardware instead — same presets, same specs, same report. When we tighten the cloud engine, Studio picks up the same fixes on its next update.

Masters saved next to your originals

Drag a file in, get the finished master written right beside it on your own drive. Nothing to download, because nothing was uploaded.

Your dashboard still works

Local jobs appear in your Greenlit dashboard alongside cloud jobs — but only the report travels. The measurements, not the recording.

Three steps. Zero uploads.

01

Download and sign in

Install Greenlit Studio on your Mac or PC and sign in with a free Greenlit account. No card required to get started.

02

Drag in a file — or your whole book

Audiobook, broadcast, or agency — the same three presets as the cloud. Drop your whole book folder in and Studio works through every chapter in sequence. Your files stay exactly where they are on your drive.

03

Check free, or master locally

Run a full spec check for free, instantly. Want more control? Open Advanced mode to adjust de-click, noise reduction, and de-essing, and preview the difference for free before you commit. Unlock local processing to render finished, submission-ready masters — unlimited files, no credits.

New — VST3 plugin included

Master without leaving your DAW.

Studio now bundles a VST3 plugin for Reaper and Audacity that runs the full check + mastering engine right inside your session — included with Studio at no extra cost.

One-click install

Studio installs the plugin for you and keeps it current with every app update. No separate download, no separate login — sign in to Studio once and the plugin is activated.

Check free, master with your plan

Drop a file onto the plugin or capture a selection from your session. Free spec checks work in the plugin too; your Studio plan unlocks processing everywhere — app and plugin.

Still 100% local

Same engine, same privacy. The plugin renders masters on your machine, and your audio never leaves it.

Questions, answered.

Does my audio really stay local?

Yes. The cleanup and mastering pipeline runs entirely on your machine. The only thing Studio sends to Greenlit is the job report — measured values like loudness, true peak, and noise floor, a few kilobytes of numbers. You can verify this yourself with any network monitor while a job runs.

What are the system requirements?

macOS on Apple Silicon (M1 or later), or Windows 10/11 on 64-bit x86. Processing runs on your CPU — a modern machine masters a chapter in a few minutes.

What's free and what's paid?

Downloading Studio and running local spec checks — the full measured report, unlimited files — is free with a Greenlit account. A Studio plan unlocks local processing: the AI cleanup and mastering passes that render a finished, submission-ready master on your machine.

Can I process a whole audiobook at once, not just one chapter?

Yes. Drop your whole book's folder in and Studio works through every chapter in sequence, showing each one's ACX pass/fail as it finishes — no queuing files one at a time. Whole-book batch processing is available on both Mac and Windows.

Does Studio work inside my DAW?

Yes. Studio bundles a VST3 plugin that runs the same engine inside Reaper and Audacity. Install it with one click from Studio — it activates through your Studio sign-in, no separate login or purchase. Drop a file onto the plugin or capture a selection from your session, run free spec checks, and process with any Studio plan. The plugin ships with Studio on both macOS and Windows.

What happens if I cancel?

On monthly or annual, local processing stops when your plan ends, and free local checks keep working. Studio Lifetime never stops working — the $199 purchase is permanent, and the optional $59/yr only covers staying current with new updates.

Can I still use cloud credits?

Yes. Studio is fully separate from credit packs — many people use Studio on their main machine and cloud credits when working elsewhere. Local jobs never touch your credit balance.

My antivirus flagged the Windows installer — is it safe?

Yes — it’s a known false positive from a few heuristic antivirus engines. The installer is digitally signed, and an independent VirusTotal scan across 40+ antivirus engines flagged nothing. Read the full note, with the public scan link and how to verify the signature yourself, at greenlitaudio.com/studio/antivirus.
